I'll remember all the good times... the pictures (what fun!!!) Writing for the newsletter.... everything!
Thank-You Ms Waddlegger, for everything you've done! It was a good year.

I'm going to miss everyone... It's been a great year! Hope you all had one too. MISS and LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!

WE'RE going to Nationals for fricks sake. Geez... totally NOT cool.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End...
I went and saw that today with Remi....

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!

What an awesome movie..... correction... What an awesome FANTASTIC movie. It is now one of my favorite movies.

Not only was Johnny Depp INCREDIBLY hot... There was a scene when there were at least 50 Captain Jack Sparrows on a ship... god... I'm going to be dreaming about that tonight... *drools* ....damn... "Does he plan everything... or just make it up as he goes along?"

Then... there was Jack the Monkey... that kid is awesome! He blew up a building with a firecracker.

Oh and geez...

"Barbosa, Will you Marry us?"
*stops sword fight*
"I'm a LITTLE busy right NOW!"
*starts sword fighting*

I laughed so hard....

and...

"NOBODY MOVE.... I dropped my brain." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA what good times.

Definitely goo see this movie. Worth the 3 hours in the theater... doesn't even feel like 3 hours.

Mayball Baseball Tourny

Well... yesterday we had the Mayball baseball tournment! That was fun, as usual... except some stupid people in grade 12 left before the games were over. (not you Remi! You had a reason!!!) But, grade 12 still won anyway! Whoooo! Damn rights...

I has sunscreen on... but do you think that stops sunburns? NOOOOOOOOOOOo Damn... at least its not as bad as last year or anything... but ouchy it hurts!

Ottawa Senators

Well... a prediction I made 2 months ago... about the Stanley Cup finally coming home, might actually come true!

The Ottawa Senators have made it into the Stanley Cup Finals!!! It's the first time in the modern NHL that the Senators have made it to the finals...
GO OTTAWA GO!!!!

Oh... A little side note to Ryan... You say that the Leafs are a better team then the Canucks.. Well... when's the last time the Leafs were IN the finals? It's been over 40 years. Did you know that?.... When were the Canucks last in? The last time they were in the Finals was in 1994.

Mmmm... makes you think eh?

Grad Trip!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Back from the Grad trip!

It sure did start out interesting though... About 20 mins past the turnoff the Ashcroft... Our bus broke down!! Oh YEA........ AWESOME start to the trip (note the sarcasm)... We were stuck outside for about... 20-30 mins, waiting for the new bus. It was alright... though Alex and Ryan disappeared for a bit... (we think they were living out their *Broback Mountain* dreams) Hahaha... Whatever!
Some interesting things happened.... Remi proposed to me! hahaha... so we're getting married! Whoooooo! That was interesting... we were outside of the Province/Vancouver Sun building... while we were there, we saw a Russian Dancer... we had some laughs watching him.

We went to the space center! Took a picture infront of the crab thingy... Haha.. pretty good picture! I'm choking RYAN!!!

We also went to the Capilano Bridge... Here's me... being overdramatic as usual.

Then there was PLAYLAND. First time i've been to playland, and it was awesome... I loved the wooden rollarcoaster (i've been on better though) and then me and Tonya went on Revelations (500ft in the air!)... Then me and Alex went on DropZone, that was awesome! I want to go again!

So... I recently started a Facebook account. I've had it for... 2-3 days now, and I am loving it!!!! A couple of my cousins found me on it! I haven't talked to or seen two of them in 6 or 7 years.
Not only that, I joined a group on it called "Encounters With Canada 2005: Canada Remembers"... I'm talking with people I haven't talked to in over a year... This thing is awesome!
If you don't have a Facebook yet, you should certainly get one! Totally worth it!

April 20.... 420

Well, Ladies and Gents, Today is April 20th.... more commonly known as 420. What does this mean to most people?? LET'S GET HIGH!!! Mostly because Today is Hitler's birthday.
Doesn't mean the same thing to me though... Today is also my Grandmother's birthday... She grew up when Hitler was in Power... She herself has seen Hitler in person, never met him though.

She was telling me the other day, back in Germany, there was no School on April 20th, because it was Hitler's birthday. This was before WWII started.... Her mother, my Oma, sent her down to the market to pick something up. When she was walking down, there was this HUGE parade celebrating Hitler. Being a little girl... of maybe 6-10 (I'm not sure)... she goes up to one of the Soldiers, other wise known as the Nazis. "Today is my birthday!" She told him in German. The soldier chuckled. He then told her "Well, my dear, this parade is for you!" Now, being a little girl, my Grandma believed him, and she was so proud. She still spoke fondly of that memory... one of the few fond memories she has of that time...

WHEW!! What A Weekend!!!

WHEW!!!!!!! What a weekend... we had our first baton competition... and... I was not at all nervous, and I have no idea why....

Well, not being nervous must have helped or something, because... DANG was I on FIRE!!!!! I was catching everything! My cartwheels... my spins... my illusions.... my floor moves... I placed FIRST in Medley, Solodance, and Duet!!!! Which was completely odd, cause I made up most of my Medley and Solodance.... hahahaha.... But, as per always, the judeges say they love watching me, and that I'm a great performer, cause i get right into the routine and music..... That was just the individual events (not duet... but hey!)

Compulsories, Freestyle, and Pairs, we didn't get marks for, so we don't know how we did...

But our TEAMS.....

Layhawke was first (first pic) .... HAHAHAHA what a disaster!!! We dropped everything! And it was all around horrible... but, thats ok!

Then was Life is a Highway (second pic)... hahaha, we looked totally... gansta, or... hahaha, quoting a parent... "OH!! Are you guys from Grease [the movie]????"... Well.... wearing a black leather vest... maybe... I thought that the routine went great, and it was a lot of fun! get to use some total attitude in it!!!

My last team was Stayin' Alive.... (third pic) That's was the best team ever!!! When we did it, it wasn't the best we've ever done... but we scored 58 (that's two points away from level A!!!!!) before penalties... we have NEVER scored over 50... so... we're like... hahahaha geeking out.

Work...

Well... today is my last official day working at the Cordial...
I love my job, I really do... but April, May, June, and July are just such busy months for me, that I can't continue working. Almost every other weekend, I have something happening... baton workshops, baton competitions, grad trip, graduation.. just to name the most major...
I don't want to quit, but it would be unfair to my bosses if I don't...
So, as of... around... 8:30-9:00pm today... I will be unemployed!!!

Lord Stanley's Cup

Lady's and Gents.... LORD STANLEY'S CUP is coming home. It's coming back to Canada. It has to! This year... It's coming back.
There are only a few more games before the playoffs... some teams have already played all their games. Playoffs start on Wednesday!
There are three Canadian teams in the playoffs FOR SURE, and one that is waiting for another team to lose to get in. Vancouver Cauncks, Calgary Flames, and Ottawa Senators are in the playoffs FOR SURE!!! Toronto Maple Leafs will be in the playoffs if the New York Islanders lose Sunday's game.
So three, possibly four, Canadian teams are playing for Lord Stanley's Cup... come on guys... BRING IT HOME!!!!

Photo Three.... Rule of Thirds

The third picture we had to take, had to use the 'Rule of Thirds'. IN this picture, one third is the tree, the secound is the back ground, the third is the Power Pole. It looks cool :) This was taken on the HighSchool Hill.

Photo Two... Different Point of Veiw

Another picture for our journalism class, is supposed to be in a different point of veiw. This is a picture of the Grad Class of 2004's board of names. It's in the hall of the school, near the office. I did a close up, and slightly off to the side. I think it's really cool :)

Photo One... Draws Your Eye.

In our journalism class, we're currently in our Photography unit. We have to take several pictures, each doing something seperate things. This picture Draws Your Eye.
Both the lockers, and the lights draws your eyes from all the way to then end of the hall.

Well, on Monday... I got a letter from TRU.... It was an ACCEPTANCE letter!!!! I got accepted to the Bachelor's of Science!!!! Which is my second choice, but it was awesome! A dream... I don't want it to become reality..

Now... some people know... but others don't... that I have some pretty realistic dreams. SO realistic, that I wake up wondering why I'm in my room. Not only that.. sometimes I have dreams that actually come true...

Now... I had a REALLY realistic dream last night (Wednesday Night).

It started with me at my locker, right before (what I'm guessing.. ) English Class. Remi comes up beside me, and is waiting for me, so we could walk down to class. (this is why I thought it was English... but it could also be Writing.. since those are the only classes we have together) While we're walking down the hall, I almost trip on that hole where the gate is, and we laugh about it... But as we get farther down the hall, I start to feel slightly dizzy.
Our class is waiting outside the room, because the door is locked. When we near them, I trip. And I land on the ground in an almost spread-eagle like position. Now, most of you know the grade 12 class... they all start laughing.... but the laughing is short lived. I don't move.
"Is she ok?" asked Bobbi. everyone falls silent.
Remi kneels beside me, and rolls me over. I'm pale... really pale. She checks my pulse... it's weak... "She's not breathing!!!!" The class starts to panic. "Someone get Mr Cole!" "Someone call 9-1-1!" Remi, being certified in CPR, starts giving me mouth to mouth. The shouts attract other teachers, Mrs Mertens, Mrs Campbell, and Ms Waddlegger. One (I'm not sure who..) gets Mr Cole, another (again not sure who..) calls 911. The remaining teacher ushers the students into the classroom.
I start to breath again, but I don't wake up. Mrs Waddlegger pushes Remi into the classroom, as Mr Cole is running (now that's a sight to see...) down the hallway. I'm still laying on the ground.
Within minutes, Ambulance sirens scream from outside. Mrs Campbell ushers them in from the main door. The two paramedics were Shannon and Phil (why weren't they my parents? hmmm....). They go to work, all the while panicking slightly, because I'm a co-workers daughter. The bag me (meaning the put that bag thing on my face, that helps me breathe), and place me on a stretcher. I'm put into the back of the Ambulance, and Shannon hops in the back with me. I'm still not awake. We leave, and we go, Lights and Sirens, to Kamloops.
I don't know what happens next... but the next thing I see, is me on a different stretcher, awake, with a doctor and a nurse beside me, and on top of the Royal Inland Hospitals roof, as a helicopter lands. They're air lifting me to the BC Women's Hospital in Vancouver.
The next thing I see, I'm in a room, staring out a window. I don't know how I knew, but I had cancer. I think it was stomach cancer. I was... waiting for surgery.
and then... I woke up.

Creepy Eh?

Well... Ok... I'm a nerd. I was bored, and I was looking around on random websites... Can Anyone explain this?

Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can.
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.
Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'.
Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford'.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker.......

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh?

"Kill Chrissy Trick"

Well... It's now has a reason for the name "Kill Chrissy Trick"...
In batons I have a four baton trick. Yes, a four baton trick! it is code named "Kill Chrissy Trick"

It starts out with me having one baton. I then throw it up, turn around, catch a baton from Jane, then turn back to the front and catch my orginal baton. I now have two batons (believe me... thats the easy part)! I then throw a baton to Sam, turn to the back throw a baton to Jane, catch a baton from Kassy, and then catch a baton from Serena.... all in a span of about... 2-3 secounds. (that is a four baton trick... i handled four batons in less then 5 seconds!) I then throw one baton up, and throw the other back, over my shoulder, to Kassy.

Sounds pretty dangerous, doesn't it? Well it is! Yesterday at practice, i went to catch a baton (which one? I'm not sure) and it came and hit me in the face!!!! Right from the left eye down to my chin. I have a small bruise right on the edge of my left eye, and a cut on my chin (from the hockey tape on the batons). The cut bled like crazy... we thought I might of needed stitches... So, Miss Martin put a neon yellow bandaid on it, and i went on my way. Stupid Kyle laughing at me :P

My grad DRESS

SO, I bought my grad dress! Well... actually I bought it a couple months back... In December-early January i think... They had to order the dress in my size, so that's what took so long. I bought the dress at Prima Bridal, on Victoria St. in Kamloops. It's a size 2!!! I didn't need to get any fittings either. :) So happy... I absolutely love it!

mmm... spare block

Well, this semester I'm lucky enough to have an ACTUAL spare block. I love it! It gets boring at times mind you.
I'm supposed to be doing the grad video during this block... well I've had this block for almost a month now, and I have not done any of the video...
Why?
BECAUSE NO GRADS HAVE BROUGHT IN ANY BLOODY PICTURES.
Well, thats not true. Amanda and Mellisa has brought some.... but I still do not have enough to even think of starting the video.

Now, I know that alot of grads are in this Class... So... PLEASE if you read this... BRING IN SOME PICTURES.

Oh, I would also like suggestions for songs for the video... has to have no swearing etc.. (which totally ruins almost all the good songs out there)

My cousin...JASON!

Back in November... I posted my blog about my cousin. (He's on the left of the picture)

Jason Lamont is a medic in the Canadian Army, stationed in CFB Edmonton. He has served time in Afghanistan, and has been awarded a medal for his actions. The medal he won was the "Medal of Military Valour"... which is 2nd to the Victoria Cross.
On Monday, he was FINALLY formally awarded this medal by the Governor General.

Jason was interviewed by CBC (again!) and the link is http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/02/19/medals-valour.html

Jason said this about receiving the medal.
"Honestly, words cannot even describe the feelings," Lamont said. "I don't know if I deserve it more than anybody else. I'm just a representative."

There were 6 soldiers awarded this medal... and here are the reasons why (Jason's is bolded):
1)Fletcher, of St. Albert, Alta., led his troops by foot from enemy fire, while giving first aid to wounded colleagues.

2)Tower, from Sidney, B.C., assumed leadership of a military operation when his commander was killed, leading the troops safely out while under enemy fire.

3)Fitzgerald, from Morrisburg, Ont., drove a burning vehicle off a road so other vehicles in the convoy could escape enemy fire.

4)Denine, from St. John's, NL, manned his vehicle's exterior machine gun when the main cannon and machine gun malfunctioned, driving away enemy attackers.

5)Prohar helped launch a successful September 2006 counter-attack against the Taliban while working with U.S. special forces in southern Afghanistan.

6)Lamont, a medic, ran through enemy fire to check on a wounded colleague when his unit was ambushed in Afghanistan's Helmand province in July 2006.
Lamont joked that his height gave him an advantage.
"The shorter you are, the more bullets can go over your head," he said.
Once again Jason... Congratulations! We're all proud of you!

geez... my hair is short...

Before... on the left

After... on the right

Well, on Sunday, I went to Kamloops... and I got my hair cut... and short too!
When I first went in, I wanted her (my hairdresser) to take off... about 5 inches I guess...
That would be about a inch or so below my shoulders.
Did my hairdresser do that? NO. She cut my hair TOO short. It's right at my shoulders at the longest point... at my chin at the shortest point...

Now, she said that this length looks really good on me, and I think, yeah, it's alright... a BIG change from what I had, mind you...

When I got to school, everyone was surprised... I got alot of ... "it looks cute" ... Made me think... are you just saying that to be nice?

Well... It grows back right? hahaha... so, come June (four months and 10 days till GRAD!!!) hopefully my hair will have grown two inches or so... it should! My hair does grow pretty fast... It grew about four inches between September and February...

Lemon Meringue Pie!

Well, in our foods class today, we made a Lemon Meringue Pie! And...damn does it look good!... I don't even like lemon meringue pie.
Hahaha... Remi and Zanna made the pastry crust, because I totally suck at making pastry dough... and I'm even worse I rolling it out. Thank God Zanna did it!
I made the filling (that was interesting...), Did you know the yellow part of the filling is not from the lemon? It's from the egg! Haha... kinda gross.
I also made the Meringue part of the pie. I liked making the swoopie parts of the top. I think ours looked like one of the best! haha.. Should be interesting when we eat it tommorow... Zanna and Remi were sure upset about not being able to eat it today... Poor Babies!

Valentine's Dance

Well, on Saturday February 10, the Grad class held a Valentine's Dance.
Since we were hosting it, we were allowed to go! Remi was my date. Don't we look gorgeous?
Remi didn't stay the whole dance though.. she felt sick, and left. So me and Tonya were left to face... Alex.
Now... I can rant and rant about Alex for god only knows how long. I bet anyone in the school could. But, damnit, he really got on my nerves at the dance and at school on Monday.
At the dance, he told this 40 year old guy all about me. Lets just say... I was more then a little creeped out, and wanted to more then strangle Alex.
Besides that... The night went pretty good! Danced a bit... sold some balloons (even though i was called a a balloon whore, and Alex my balloon pimp from his drunken boss). And the Grad Class made over $2000!

Yet again... BATONS

I sure write alot about batons, don't I?
Haha... well, I absolutely hate the fact, that now that I'm a senior twirler and one of the better ones in the group, I have to teach the little kids! I get no fricking time to practice my own routines..

Like.. HELLO? Me and Sam are supposed to do a Duet (different from Pairs)! We have not even started it... because Miss Martin does NOT give us time. What are we supposed to do? Does she expect us to have EXCELLENCE, and move up to BI if she doesn't give us time to practice? Does she expect us to do EVERYTHING on our own time? Look, I don't fricking care, I'm not a coach. I should not have to do all their routines.

Baton... Workshop...

This weekend... was long...
We had a baton workshop this weekend. And boy.... did we work hard... REALLY HARD... after the workshop was done... I counted how many new brusies I had... my count came to 39 (most of which are on my legs and back)... and thats not counting my wrist which swelled to three times it's size (your fault Jane).

We first worked on our major group routine, Lady Hawke. It's a 8 minute routine. We changed alot of it... and gave me a FOUR baton trick. COME ON... do you know what they called it? My four baton is called "The Kill Chrissy Trick"... and it's SCARY. Also, in this routine, there's a short dancing part... hahaha... we were trying to teach Jane it... and Kassy had to yell out.. "NO! Don't THRUST!" ... we all almost died from laughing.

The next thing I worked on was my little girls' team Super Girl. Totally awesome!!! They have to do the Moonwalk! But... it is a little easy, so I might change some things.

After that, we worked on my Freestylem, She's Got the Look. Now... that's SCARY as well... There's this trick where I toss, spin, do a leap, turn, and catch under my leg in a kick... I caught it though! It looks great, but it's SCARY. I do some other freaky things as well... But I guess it won't be so bad after I have some time to practice it.

My pairs (with Sam), You Can't Stop the Beat, came next. It is soooo fast, we're probally going to pass out half way through it. And... for Sam... really scary! She has some pretty scary tricks, with my supporting her. There's the cartwheel... and theres the roll over my back... Hahaha... I guess it's revenge over the "Kill Chrissy Trick" *evil laugh*

The next day... We worked on they Senior team Stayin' Alive... some of that is scary as well... but not that bad... There's this scary exchanfe in which Kassy (not looking) throws behind her, and I fall to the ground, do a fan roll, then catch. I haven't caught it yet, but at least I'm not a litte chicken **** like Pheadra, and I at least try.

My last thing for the work shop was Life is a Highway. We didn't quite finish it, but we added alot! Some of that is fun... I have to do some pretty wacky tosses into it... And the cartwheels are interesting. It's really fun! I love this routine.

Well... that pretty much sums up our baton workshop... We'll be having another one next month... Which is scary!

Kindergarten

Kindergarten!! Yeah.. after Pre-school, we went to Kindergarten for our Family Management class.

I enjoyed going to this class, because I knew alot of the kids, and we got to play with them!

AS seen in the picture... theres me in the middle... Brenden on my right.. Topanga behind me... and Brent on my left.

Brent is the cutest little guy... and no matter what KASSY says, He's my boyfriend, not hers.

Chemistry..

Well, I have something good, and something bad to say about Chemistry.
...Now what can be good about Chemistry? Hahaha.. everything is bad about Chemistry.

As of 3:00p.m. Wednesday January 31, 2007, I have officially finished Chemistry 11! That's the good thing! The Exam wasn't that long.. 15 pages... but the questions took awhile! I wasn't finished one question when time ran out. Oh well... hahaha... I didn't know how to do it anyway... Dissociation sucks! On the rest of the questions, I think I did awesome! We shall see when I get the marks back...

Now, the bad thing. Chemistry 12 is not being offered at my school. I don't necessarily need it... it's just 'highly recommended' that I take it for the Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. So... I'll either take if through correspondence, or through e-learning. I'm hoping e-learning. So... no matter what... this new semester should be interesting.

UPDATE: I got 76% on the EXAM.. totally awesome!

Pre-school!

Well... on January 21, the Family Mangement class went down to the local Preschool, and played with the kids! As seen in the picture beside this, I'm painting with a little girl named Eden! I loved her to bits, she was one of the cutest kids, and loved to paint!

After staying in class for a while, we went down to the gym, and had a "snowball fight"... We used newspaper! The little kids totally won! They attacked me a couple times, and then, jumped on me! As seen in the picture beside this, Eden is on top of me!

Heres a close up of the dogpile... I'm still stuck on the bottem! Eden is throwing a "snowball" in my face, while Wyatt (the cutest little boy!) is there, also throwing a "snowball" at me... after this was taken, Wyatt jumped on me too!

Well.... How is it remotely fair that It's always me on the bottom of a dogpile? With little kids, OK, I understand, and at least I can breathe with them ontop of me.... But REMI? Come on! That was a little cruel. Do you think I can breathe? Uh.. NO.....
